been thinking for a while to get some cards done, but really unsure of what design to go for, pre designed or make my own.

if you have a business card and don't mind sharing please post them here.

also which is good site for getting cards done?

Have a look a Moo.com they do some nice stuff but aren't the cheapest. I'm not sure I'll post mine as it's going to contravene the no advertising rule...

actually never thought of the no advertising rule!!

have looked at moo and vistaprint, but have a wide choice of pre done designs but im not sure if i want theirs or do my own.
 
I have some Moo contact cards with a selection of photos from my portfolio printed on the backs, they make a good talking point and are good quality.

edit: quick photo of some of them, have about 40 different photos on the backs of them.

For our work (non photography) we have our own artworked design and use local, professional printers - it is much cheaper when you're printing 30 or 40 different cards in one batch.

However, the reason for me posting is that from time to time we need to produce just one set of business cards for one individual - changed job title, phone number etc etc. To do that cheaply and with reproduction as close to a litho print as we can get, we use Vistaprint.

I hadn't heard of Moo - will take a look.
 
My moo bunch arrived today. Did 5 different designs on one side with an image and details on the other. I'll post a pic tomorrow but blank out details so it doesn't break any rules :)
 
I had 1000 of these done last year for £117~ from a local print shop, they're matt finish on both sides with the front logo gloss layered. Designed myself and didn't anticipate how small the font would be on the lower right of the front, just readable in person!

just done the sample kit on moo, get 10 free cards, will see what they are like and how my design comes out on a little card!!

Thats the ones that I got from moo as well. On the reverse there is my details along with an image like the one in my sig along the top. The quality is obviously better than what the camera phone has reproduced!

EDIT

Also got a card holder which takes 15 cards. Quite decent.
