Business cards?

Can anyone recommend a good place to purchase some business cards from? Ideally, I would prefer to upload my own design to have printed off, but if there are some good designs there already in tempaltes. That would be fine too. :)

Ha! Invading another of your threads. Serves you right for helping me out with African bird id back in April.. Cheers for that B.T.W.

If you can, I would suggest doing what I do and visit a local firm if you can. Sit down with them for a few minutes and go over the design and get an idea of it right up there on the screen as you talk. If you have your own design it will save time and money. One thing the girl did say was too many people design a card that is too busy. She was glad that I'd kept it clean and simple.

This is what I did after checking out others that were listed on the net and didn't find anything I liked.

Okay, that's a lie, I didn't do it. I was at work, but my girlfriend did it for me after I jotted a basic outline down. Good isn't she? :)

Not onyl does she buy you great holidays for photography but she does other things too? Good catch :)

Catch? I couldn't escape. ;) Of course, she DOES lurk around here so I may have to be careful. :eek:

I dare not say what else this nice young lady bought me to use as it really WAS too much. But she believes in my photography, which I think is mostly okay but nothing special yet. Although I have sold a few signed prints of those wildlife pictures from the last trip. And there was that local paper thing I opened a thread about the other week when I got a whole page to myself.

Steady on, I'm derailing your thread! :D Sorry. ;)

But DO check the yellow pages for local printers that do onsite design. Seeing in real life the types of card thay can print it on can also help you with your design.
