Hey guys,

I wanted some business cards and VistaPrint just quoted me £30 for 250 :o!

Is there anywhere cheaper or am i gunna have to make them myself :[ lol.

Are you taking about design and print, or do you already have it set-up and just want it printed?

If its just print, we've used these guys in the past, always come back lovely. Sure, they don't have a fancy website, but they print well, and thats all I care about.

Moo seem alright but they come across as freaking pretentious web 2.0 do-do heads. I've used Goodprint when I was contracting, they are really good & usually have an offer on.

Moo and Goodprint for decent quality.

Vistaprint is just shocking, I'd be embarassed to hand out what they print.

Thanks for all your replies.

I dont see how these people can charge £30+ for 250 little cards :/.

Let me tell you now, that is cheap.

Vistaprint are most likely the cheapest business card printer ever.

However, most people don't want cheap.

Christ, Moo is expensive. £203.94 for 350gsm Full Colour, Single Sided, Silk Card? GTFO. :D

Moo orders off these guys in all likelyhood, http://www.rcs.plc.uk/Products/BusinessCards.aspx.

Save yourself half the cost, £108.92. 400gsm card, delivered. Moo probably has the 50% plugin at RCS, so MOO is only paying RCS ~£60-70 and gets to keep the other £130 profit. If Moo runs their own printers, its even better for them, but I doubt it if they're charging that much for the cards, with a week and a half delivery (working days), covers them incase RCS or whoever they use messes up.

Oh yeah, don't use Vistaprint, holding one in my hand now from one of their unhappy customers. Its some sort of recycled ~250gsm ish card. It has a weird uneven shiney-ish texture to it, slightly distracting, and to top it off its cut slanty. :D Theres a comma missing in the address and the character spacing is a bit off in areas, but I guess thats what happens when you use an online tool with no-one on the print end to proof it for you.

On top of all that its that stupid weird continental sized business card, 90mmx50mm that doesn't fit nicely in your wallet. You'd get a better result buying a crap £30 inkjet and a few sheets of decent inkjet paper, seriously.

But hey, its your money! :p
