Business Cloud Backup/Sharing

Hey Guys,

Not sure if this is the correct forum or not.

Basically our company works from satellite offices (home addresses) throughout the country, these being area managers, and also CAD designers.

Now all information is stored locally with many emails transmitting the files which we need between us. Mainly between area managers and the CAD operative dealing with the files.

What I would like to do is have the following:

1. Central Backup - We deal with a lot of files and quotations, therefore it would be good to have a online backup.

2. File Sharing - The ability to have us Area Managers be able to find CAD files and drag them into emails etc to send them ourselves to save time.

Does anyone know a good UK based Cloud service which could do the above?

Sharepoint could work for you if the jobs tend to be single file jobs.

The issue is that linked files (Xrefs in CAD drawings, specifically) are very finnicky about being moved around individually. To get a CMS which can handle the relative pathing issues properly is somewhat expensive (At least 5 figures per annum).

We have a relatively large firm with ~100 staff who can't yet justify such a system, so my advice would be to make your working patterns fit the system - not the other way around.
 
JungleDisk? Backed by Rackspace... I know I'd be choosing them for my business anyday.

If you use personal clients, the cloud space can be online accessed and shared, the business one (which is what I use) cannot be done online. Had pretty good experiences so far and it's $5 for 10GB and $0.15 per GB further than that.

Can expand it for a few $ for extra workstation licenses etc.

Servers are in the US, unfortunately Rackspace don't currently have an EU offering. The upside is that the support is second to none, 24/7 online chat who have always been friendly and helpful. All data is encrypted in transfer, so nice and secure for business needs.
