anyone else like to listen to business development podcast or read books etc?

Just looking for recommendations really as only getting into podcasts, have been on the Rob Moore Disruptive Entrepreneur, Tim Ferris and the Tribe of Mentors too, also a couple of specialist architecture one.
Anyone got any that are focused towards consultant services (rather than products)?

One thing that's already annoyed me about him is that he clearly doesn't appreciate that some people are parents and have to prioritise their time differently!
He's certainly prolific!

Just wanted to bump this one to see if anyone has found any gems recently?
Been listening a lot to property based podcasts as it's the way my business is moving

Been getting into my audiobooks too - currently working my way through Rob Moore's Money

Some audiobooks I have recently listened to I would recommend. Not business development as such, but good guidance to anyone looking to build a business, which is exactly what a good business development executive should think about.

Ego is the enemy - Ryan Holiday
12: The Elements of Great Managing - Rodd Wagner & James K Harter
The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results - Gary Keller & Jay Papasan
The First 90 Days - Michael Watkins

Some books I have read related to sales as follows, though no book has a silver bullet so my advice is take elements that you feel you can work with in your role and fit your style. Life is not black and white, these books like all books of this nature should be read in breadth to form an informed view. Consume and keep consuming and pick the bits that work best for you.

The Challenger Customer - Pat Spenner & Nick Toman
The Challenger Sale - Matt Dixon
Solution Selling - Michael Bosworth (In the past a bible of the 'sales' industry. Still has some good content if somewhat dated now)
The New Solution Selling: The Revolutionary Sales Process That is Changing the Way People Sell - Keith Eades (An update of the above seminal book)
Agile Selling: Get Up to Speed Quickly in Today's Ever-Changing Sales World - Jill Konrath
Hyper-Connected Selling: Winning More Business by Leveraging Digital Influence and Creating Human - David Fisher

I've a TONNE more, but these are some to get you started.

Thanks for those, good list to get through there! I do like the sales books which open out a bit more into the social side of things, a lot of the books on money/wealth/personal development s are quite dated but they have some great core messages in there too, i think my favourite so far has been Let's Get Real or Let's Not Play, some absolute gems in there if you think about consultant roles rather than pure sales.

The Effortless Experience: Conquering the New Battleground for Customer Loyalty another from Matt Dixon, Nick Toman and Rick DeLisi you might also appreciate then. It challenges some of the perspectives on what makes good service and has relevancy. Ive used content from this and some of their research myself when presenting to senior audiences. I have a few copies, can send one to you if you want?

Dunno if this is of interest - this guy took Peter Thiel's Start Up class at Stanford Uni - CS183 - and published his notes from the lectures on his blog:

http://blakemasters.com/peter-thiels-cs183-startup

I remember seeing these back in 2013 when coursera launched a start up engineering course in conjunction with Stanford as a "spiritual successor" to CS183, thought of them when I saw this thread being bumped.

(Interestingly it seems that since then the former student has published a book with Thiel and become COO at Thiel Capital)

Just to update a little,
podcast wise, found a few crackers in amongst the ted talks podcast, also "the art of manliness" has some good interviews if you can see past the name!

Audiobooks - couple of crackers which I've found very useful and information - Start with Why, Simon Sinek. Deep Work, Cal Newport, Oversubscribed, Daniel Priestley

and currently getting through Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman
