We need to renew a couple of our office Windows PCs and it probably makes sense to move to laptops due to the switch to more flexible working covid has provided us with.

The main requirement is to have a dock that can connect to 2 monitors. How do I know what connection/setting I need on the laptop to allow this? We’ve got a mix of hdmi, vga and dvi monitors but can look

The use is basic office apps and internet so nothing taxing really but I’d like something that is half decent that will see us through a few years.

Can anyone recommend something suitable?

Thanks

Thanks, will any laptop with a usb-c be able to power 2 external monitors? They are 21 inch monitors.

Should be fine. We've been using Lenovo Displaylink type docks with dual screens at work for few years. Latest hybrid one I'm using now has a single USB-C cable, which powers the laptop and runs a pair of 24" screens happily.

You might see a minor performance drop (up to 5% CPU) as there's overhead on the drivers, which you won't get with a mechanical dock.
