Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend any decent, modern business / management games?

I've recently taken a shine to Game Dev Tycoon but it's not really in depth enough - I'd like a bit more control over finances etc.

I've been told that Capitalism 2 is one of the best but it just feels too old now and I've struggled to get in to it :(

Am hoping Automation fits the bill when they add in the business part.

I guess Tropico is close (not tried the SimCity remake).
Ports of Call (dated like Capitalism but available on Android) is quite easy.
Prison Architect is fun, can't say I really noticed the management part that much though.
Democracy was interesting but the same tactics tend to work no matter the scenario.

I really hope Automation turns out great. I spent endless hours on the Detroit game back in 90s. I'm surprised there weren't that many car design, managment games. The only other one I can remember is Car Tycon which was pretty bad but still played it all the way to the end. :)

To OP you could give europa universalis 4 a go, they've just added more focus on naval trade. Yes you will have to fight from time to time but there's a lot of managment and diplomacy in the game.
