But Can it run Crysis? fholger is working on a Crysis VR Mod!

the vehicle scenes will be quite nauseous imho but the good thing about Crysis was you being able to pick your path in the map so yeah could turn out to be really good

Actually what we are seeing now imho is there being enough performance in the top end PCs to drive the flat2VR games properly. You still can't jack up all the settings but with compromises 90fps at decent resolutions and quality is now possible. That then opens near endless content from historic games, FO4VR alone you could easily spend 6months+ going through that and the DLCs

Bit of a heads up, the Crysis Maximum edition is on sale this week on Steam for £6.

The original Crysis is included with Warhead in a double pack, afaik the only way to grab the OG you need for the mod on Steam.

It is available at https://www.gog.com/en/game/crysis but it's £16, it does go on sale at 75% off fairly often here.

Edit: I have a problem with playing this mod though, for some reason my gunfire always goes towards my feet. I can look around fine but all gunfire goes down to my feet so i can't kill enemies and therefore don't last long.

Only way?

Hmm, I have crisis 1 on DVD though..

Apologies if you misunderstood, it was a PSA for it's availability on Steam. Given that the original is unavailable as an obvious purchase on Steam, the PSA was more of a bit of noting it's availability, as well as it's discounted price.

Obviously it can be obtained through other platforms and sources. If you're a luddite like myself that only purchases through steam due to online funding availability of gift cards, GoG isn't much of an option unfortunately.

You need to point your feet at your enemies.

A search for crysis didn't bring up the original game, only the remastered version. AS per a previous poster, I had to search for crysis warhead (or crysis maximum...cant remember) to get a link to the 2 game £6.xx pack.

Also, I had to follow the instructions on the steam forum to get crysis to work, which included copying the warhead bin64 files to the crysis directory (meaning I had to download warhead), and putting in the command line options that were stated. I then had to run a couple of console commands, but after that it worked.

I was quickly reminded of why it was one of my favourite games, damage to scenery, good water effects etc etc was quite novel at the time. Hopefully the VR mod won't disappoint.

To be fair, the guy seems busy doing everything else it seems. Not actually gotten around to installing the game yet, judging by his previous work i imagine it's in a decent state and fairly feature complete.

I took a look at the release notes, the way I read it, it doesn't support the quest controllers.
