at the moment on normal lcd i get sound via micro hifi!

cheers for any advice

Just googled your monitor and found the input information. Looks like in the manual it has a 3.5mm connector, so headphone style connector.

How are you connecting your 360 to the monitor at the moment?

If you have a VGA cable, then it should have came with a white/red to 3.5mm connector, then that can be plugged right in to the back of the monitor.

So what are you trying to do? Split it so it goes in to both? Is your VGA cable an official one? All you need is a phono to 3.5mm converter and that'll go in to the back of the monitor, but I'd have thought any built-in speaks will be rubbish even versus a hifi set of speakers.

yeah true they arnt supposed to be that bad and i just dont have the room for the ones on my desk at the moment as well as my Pc speakers and sub :(

i need a new monitor so was thinking of buying that so i can get rid of this bulky hi fi

You'd be better off getting a 360 compatible headset, turtle beach or similar (cheaper) options.
At least then you would have decent sound which makes a huge difference to gaming imo.
Also you could just store the headset on top of the 360 and then you have no more speakers stealing your desk space.
