Buy a 6870?

End of discussion, multiboxing is not a cheat, it is something that takes an extraordinary
amount of skill and patience. You've not contributed to this thread in any way at all,
so I'd appreciate it if you didn't post here again
I know exactly how you feel here, I used to triple box and i got no end of hate whispers for it.
The truth is, those who hate it, either cant afford it, don't have the hardware for it, don't have the skill/knowledge for it and 9 times out of 10 have been on the receiving end of a multi-chain lightning, it has nothing to do with cheating, that's just the word they use because they simply "can't do it"
Multiboxing is no different to grouping up with 4 of your mates, you just group up with yourself instead, and that's the exact reason Blizzard allow it.

But back on topic, I used to triple box with my 1GB 8800GT, max settings apart from shadows which i had on low. I'm pretty sure you should be able to max everything out on 5 games with 2x 5770s especialy if you limit the fps for your 4 followers (I limited them to 15fps unselected). You could probably do 5 with a single GTX460.

grouping by oneself in a multiplayer game though is what strikes many as odd.
I have tried it in the past and have multi-boxed back in eq days on raids when short on clerics but like other activities which are inherently multiplayer I find doing it all onself rather pointless.

Yeah I see what you mean. It's just an extra challenge for me atm. And I still group up with my
friends too, I just leave some of my characters out of the party.

In cata gameplay becomes much more difficult, and even the best boxers have struggled in 5mans,
let alone 10! Should be interesting to see how I fare ^^

As has probably been said before you should look for the best single GPU solution as Crossfire will not work with windowed applications (annoyingly). Also, as any advice will be sheer speculation, perhaps it might be more worthwhile asking after the cards are released? Or at the very least once the NDA runs out :)
