Hey Guys,

A couple of years ago I bought a Custom Built PC - I chose the case etc.

Now I would like to build a PC myself and love my current case, but I also want to keep my current setup as another PC.

I would love to get hold of the same case but haven't got it's details. I've looks in and around the case for manufacturer details but can't find anything.

Any suggestions?

Glen.

Sorry for having to say this, but if you've ever used anything worthy of the name "Case" you won't want to have the same as that.

Go for a Lian-Li or Akasa Eclipse. Brilliant build quality and can get some superb airflow.

The top of your case looks like R2D2's face.

FFS - Isn't it just a matter of opinion? I like and probably think your one is a POS!

Go figure

Yes it is down to opinion on a simply aesthetic level. There are countless other things to take in to account however such as build quality, placement of fans/qaultiy of fans included, HDD cage robustness, flimsyness of switches, ease of installing drives/fans/psu etc that are simply not down to opinion at all.

Put it in the context of a woman. If she looks like a fat hag then even if you have no previous experience you can be pretty much sure that if you were in bed with her she wouldn't be rocking your socks off.

Chagle, I think the point people are trying to make is that if you had a look at the other cases around you would find something you'd like more than your current case.

I half suspect you want to get the same case so that you can use your old PC as a guide when building the new one. If that's the case then it's just another argument to get a new, better, case as they tend to have removable motherboard trays, thumb screws, and all sorts of little things that'll make your life a bit easier.

Just my 2 cents.

edit: despite the fact that case is probably no longer made, no one could help you find a shop that sold it as we can't link to competitors.

Thanks - I take your point. This I will be looking into...

Word!

ATM struggling to keep a 'modern' system cool inside a (reputable) older Cooler Master case thanks to having 80mm fans :( I won't even mention the lack of room to work in & can't have a new-era/upright heatsink like this

Good man. Just take the plunge. It'll be a learning experience and you'll be way better off for it in terms of computer knowledge.

If you run into any troubles while you're doing it you'll have your other PC to come online here and ask for help.

yea lads, give the guy a break lol !!

some people are Right in saying that there are better cases out there though. I don't like Lian li cases at all personally as i find that they are made to be too compact, and not pleasant to build in

removable mother board trays are not *that* special, but they do aid some builders i suppose.

but hey, if your not confident, were all hear to help im sure ! i can totally see why it may be a bit daunting to you building your own, but a newer, more modern case would probably make things a little easier for you :)

Rick

p.s that looks like an old case, but at the time it would have been the mutts nuts !
you look at old crappy cars, and clothing, TV's and all sorts and say the same thing... its just been made earlier than most things available now... thats all !

Thank you all. I just seemed a little picked on earlier and I'm quite attached to my old PC/Case :-)

I see the point, I've done a bit of research and of course much better cases out there. Trouble is.. so many to choose from!

Some look awesome too. Just got to decide..

I want a practical one as well as a 'nice looker' - Got to impress visitors you see. Love it if people were to say "what's that...?" .. then I reply, "O'that's my new PC" :-)
