Buy now or wait for something else?

Currently I have the ROG Swift 27" which is an amazing monitor. I really like it and I love gsync on it. However I do want to get a new monitor and seen they do a 34" version but it's still only 1440p. Would there be a big step up going from my current monitor to a new one? I've read that gsync doesn't work with 4k, is this something that will change or did I misread it?
If the above isn't a big jump are there any new monitors coming out this year that would be a massive jump?

I wouldn't go more than 27" with 1440p personally, it's just right at that size/pixel density.

Moving to 34" would just give you a much larger screen with the same number of pixels. You might as well just bring your screen closer to your face for the same experience..

I think he's referring to 34" 3440x1440.
