Just want to get your taughts on whether i should i buy a rig now or wait till september till i finish my current job and have to time to build and enjoy it??
Will there be much changes in hardware and if so what is there to expect and look forward to?
Are prices likley to fall on ivybridge,GPU's and SSD's??

Prices aren't likely to fall. What's supposed to make them fall? The kindness of the manufacturer? Some unforeseeable catastrophe? (Like flooding. Which did the opposite). Was there a significant drop in 5 series Nvidia cards when the 6 series were released? I didn't notice one.

If you have the readies for it you might as well go for it or it's a constant "well, XYZ is just round the corner I'll wait for that". And when XYZ arrives it's "well ABC is coming soon, so I'll just wait for that".

If the components are just going to sit in their boxes then you should wait. Prices can rise and fall on a weekly basis so you may make a saving or it may cost you more. As far as new tech there is nothing new majorly on the horizon, the GTX 660, on par with a 7850, should be launching at some point but no one seems to know exactly when. Also the new Piledriver CPUs from AMD should be launching in Q4 this year and depending on performance and price may affect your choice of CPU.

I was just asking what are we likely to expect in terms of hardware?
Will there be faster ssd's? Ivybridge E or 700 series of Nvidias?

Of course some new stuff will come out but i dont think there will be any huge price drops. If the hardware will just sit in a box then dont buy it but if you will use it now then go for it. That's just my opinion :)

I don't think any of those will be appearing before September. The only thing that may appear around then maybe a GTX 685, but that is just a gut feeling on my part.

As a general rule prices current start at top and gradually go down. Biggest exception was HDD factory flooding... and that kind of thing doesn't happen often. Even pound drop in value from a few years ago hasn't been match tech price increases. Wait till close to the time you want to upgrade/ buy, then watch prices and new release dates.

As always with all equipment in the tech world. If you buy the best now, it will only be 2nd best in a few months time.
Buy now and enjoy sooner rather than later :-)
