Buy PC game keys from the US?

Is there a way that I can buy and download games from US stores like Amazon to use here in the UK and will they all work the same as if it was a normal UK download?

http://www.steamprices.com/uk/about allows to compare game prices from different Steam stores.

Note in the FAQ: Currently, there's no way for us to determine for sure whether a game is region-locked because we just parse the U.S. Steam Store game details pages for further information like description, system requirements, publisher, gerne, etc.

I've bought a couple of things from amazon.com by having a generic US address on my account. The keys worked fine in Steam & Origin

Reading the rest of the Steamprices website shows that your IP address is checked to ensure that you buy from the correct Steam store. They hint at solutions as to how to change your IP address, but do not give details.

I've also used Amazon.com for Steam keys and haven't had any issues adding them to a UK Steam account.

the same way people get around region locks I'd imagine with VPN's although some of the more known ones are likely black listed and steam won't fall for it

if you add a US address to your amazon account, set it to that, then buy us game it should work

With origin I used a vpn through India to buy my premium upgrade back when it was released, cost around £17 vs £40... works fine for me with no issues
