I've almost sold my two 27" screens, once i've done that i want to buy 3 identical monitors but I'm not sure which monitors to go for currently....

I have sort of set myself a budget of £600 but allowing it to be flexible. Originally i wanted to get 3 of the Asus MX279 screens but obviously that would come to £900 and i just don't think i could stretch to it unless i paid off £500 now and stuck the other £400 on a finance dealy. (which could still be an option :p) The alternative is to downside to the 23" version of those screens, but something in the back of my mind keeps telling me i'll regrety not having the 27" lol

Any suggestions on what to go for? I obviously want ultra slim bezels because seeing 3 monitors with tiny bezels is what's made me want this so badly. I'm going to be playing games, battlefield 4 when it's out, skyrim at the moment, tf2 occasionally, nothing competitive though, just casual, and i do like the improved image on an IPS screen.

Suggestions?

EDIT: can anyone tell me about this monitor: "27" AOC I2757FH" The panel on those looks the same as the Asus, can't find any details but the specs appear the same, difference is they're only £222 each compared to the £300 of the asus.

Truth is buddy I can't offer any advice as I have no idea, but when you have them I want to be the first to see your Battlefield set up :-)

Well impatient old me went off and ordered 3 of those AOC 27" ones. They "look" like the same panel as the Asus MX279s, just with cut down features such as the fancy speakers and so on. Must admit though one thing i didn't like about the MX279s were that side by side the speakers forced you to have a slight gap because of they way they stuck out a few mm.

Will have these tuesday though so i'll take some pictures and give some feedback on them if you like.

Ok I've got my 3 x AOC 2757FH monitors, I've come from two extremes in a lovely image on a hazro ips to zero ghosting on an iiyama 1ms 120hz screen.

I've got to say these are very nice. Having handled the £300 Asus MX279s as well, the build quality is good, and everything bar the stand is on par with the Asus. The base itself is good quality but the stand part between the monitor and the base is a bit flimsy really.

Pros:
Cheap for a 27" IPS
Image is decent, colours seem decent. By no means outstanding but certainly very noticeably better than a TN.
Design is nice
Thin bezels are fantastic! I LOVE THIN BEZELS!
Tilt is nice and adjustable, they stay in position well...unlike my 27" DGMs at work which keep wanting to swing forwards at me.

Cons:
Stand is a bit wobbly
The front silver and silver base is plastic made to look like aluminium rather than being metal, which takes away from the design aspect a bit.

Yet to test out any fast paced gaming though. Overall though if you wanted these for the same purposes as the Asus, and you didn't need the fancy speakers, you can happily save yourself £240 by going for 3 of these instead without disappointment.

Looks good indeed but 1080i at 27" would be a bit pixelated?...

Well i had the iiyama G2773HS TN 27" screen which i used a lot prior to these, so i suppose i could just be used to it.

Must admit when I was doing a search for dead pixels on a 2560x1440 screen next to a 1920x1080 screen the pixels were about 4 to 1 for size, honestly if you're going to be using moving images all the time like games, films etc though then you'll never have an issue with the size of the pixels.

If you wanted a 27" screen for a purpose other than games, films, general internet use though then you would be daft to go for anything other than 2560x1440, but on the flipside for those uses alone i think you'd be daft to spend the extra on 1440p screens as you wouldn't benefit enough for the extra price.

My main use is games though :)
