yo im buying the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 7950 3072MB PCI-Express Graphics Card tomorrow but i was checking the system requirements

DVD playback requires DVD drive.
Blu-ray™ / HD DVD playback requires Blu-ray / HD DVD drive.

i have a disk drive it just isn't blu-ray does this matter i just want the card for gaming pretty new to pc gaming so want to make sure it works XD

Nope. You only need a blu-ray drive if you want to watch blu-ray movies, etc. Graphics cards are also used for video playback when watching movies off DVDs/Blu-Rays and that's what they're talking about. Whether or not you have one you can still use the 7950 for games.

I thought the explaination is already quite clear...if you are not using your PC for Blu-ray™ / HD DVD playback, why would you need a Blu-ray / HD DVD drive? :p
