Well after trying to pplay oblivion and failing due to computer being a tad bit old I am looking at getting a nice new system.

Been looking at the systems on OCUK but I dont have clue what to get.

Can someone poin tme in the direction of a system (no monitor mouse keyboard or sound system needed)tha twill be able to play oblivion on MAX settings.

And like always cheaper the better ;)

Thanks Luke

You won't be able to play Oblivion with MAX settings cheaply. It sounds like you want to buy a ready made system, your better off building it yourself though (cheaper). How much are you willing to spend?

well in a perfect world I would want to spend about £500.

Not sure how much a top end PC would cost.

Even just to play oblivion on medium settings, that would be perfect.

A decent spec would probably consist around:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+ (Socket 939) - £279.95 (£328.94 Including VAT at 17.5%)
Corsair 2GB DDR XMS3200C2PT TwinX (2x1GB) CAS2 - £109.95 (£129.19 Including VAT at 17.5%)
Sapphire ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - £254.95 (£299.57 Including VAT at 17.5%)

That's over £750 already. Obviously you could budget the above with an X2 3800+ and overclock it to 4400+ speeds, go for value RAM, and drop the X1900XT down to an X1800XT 512MB or 7900GT. That would save about £200.
