My sister lives in Chicago and is coming over to visit next month, would it beneficial for her to bring me a Sony A7riii? I mean send her the money and her to bring it. Would warranty be an issue?

May also get stung at customs too if she brings it over in all of its packaging, I got an iPad pro from New York in November and binned all the packaging at the hotel so it look like I travelled with it.

As above, make sure she ditches the packaging in case she gets picked for a random search (extremely unlikely) but you never know, also the warranty for an A7R iii is US only if it's purchased in the US,

They'd be able to answer your warranty question.

They usually charge £117 for out of warranty camera body repairs.
So if you've saved more than £117, you've already potentially gained.

If she's coming over with someone else, get the other person to carry the folded down box and manual etc. And walk through Customs first.
