Buying a car on PCP, good? bad? sensible if done right?

Fine if you never want to own it, short sighted if you do.

PCPs are aimed at people who don't want to own it.

If you want to own the car after 3 years, and can save the balloon while also paying the PCP payments, then why not HP or bank loan it from the off?

Because people are daft, frankly. *oh look I can have a poverty spec 1 series for 300 a month.,..3 years later oh **** I can't afford the deposit on another ps1s, now I need a loan.,,why are the monthly payments so much? I know I'll pay it over 20 years...,my car is falling apart and I need a new one but can't clear the finance/loan oh the banks are really evil how could they do this to me?*
