Hi all

I'm after another car, and one of the cars I'm looking at is made by Chrysler. It still has a year or two of manufacturers warranty.

Now, ignoring any aspects particular to any model of Chrysler, is a Chrysler a good call in the current environment and with the current difficulties with the US company? Even if its a huge bargain? ;)

Would appreciate any thoughts!

Thanks!

The value will drop like a stone and the interior will be horrid and age poorly. I wouldn't recommend one.

if it really is such a huge bargain then the drop wont be the worst thing in the world.

300c - yes please!

You gotta be kidding me? the only people that buy them from my local crysler dealership are ****** and the kind of ******* that wants to live a footballer lifestyle but can't afford the Bentley :(

That is just an opinion of yours, like others have low opinions of boxsters, wouldnt stop me buying either.
Hell, i've got a 3 series and i know what people think of BMW drivers... and i'd happily have an X5, another car that has 'stigma' attached.

Worry about what you are driving, not what others are :p

Not sure if the 300Cs over here are better than the ones in the US but have driven US hire car ones and they are poor

My missus has mentioned she like the Crossfire though

No worries on that count :p

Seriously though. Have you driven one? Try it and get back to me lol.

Of course it's just an opinion.
Boxter might be a poor mans 911, but it's still a cracking car to drive, same goes for beemers, hell even the x5 does what it was designed to do.
I just can't see the point of the 300c it excells at nothing imo (excuse mys spelling i'm on my second bottle of vino :p)

how many cars out there excel at nothing? most of them :p

yeah, i've driven one, nothing special (far from it), but then i just like the look of them, low with big rims :D

Love 300c's, but cannot explain why, although, I haven't driven one, just going purely on looks/reviews, although they are wallowy,, overly massive etc.. something about them is just awesome :)

Why buy a car that excels at nothing?

I've driven a 300C for 3 miles until the AC packed in and it was replaced with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was actually quite cool in a cheap American funky bling kinda way.

you will never understand why the general public buy cars, no matter how many times you are told.

I have a chrysler, nothing has gone wrong with it in three years, its better specced than most midrange cars, and faster than every model in fords current line up bar the Focus RS and ST 220, and even then, its a matter of a couple of fractions of a second.

Its not worth anything, but then 3 years ago, it didnt cost me much either.

Get a Grand Voyager.

For a few couple of days there have been Bentleys parked on George Street (edinburgh) and my dad went yesterday "look, theres that big black Bentley back" Without having my seeing eyes in, or even having a proper look I knew that it ws just a 300c, so I suppose thats what the 300s is good at, confusing the lesser known poeple.
