Buying a cpu on the Bay.

Anyone have experience buying CPU's on the Bay?? Intel 3770K

Its just so much cheaper, Would love to get it on the MM hear but a few post to go lol :)
 
I've bought and sold quite a few CPUs on EB and never had any issue.

last time I bought 3220 for £50 delivered, like new, boxed with heatsink. the guy posted it Special Delivery, so had it next day.

just be cautious as with any purchase - feedback, paying with card through PayPal etc.
 
Paypal normally sides with the buyer so you shouldn't have too much of a problem buying off ebay. The flipside of course is that you should only sell to people with good reputation, as if they dishonestly file a dispute with paypal, they'll normally side with them and you'll lose the payment.
 
I bought my 3770k from the bay. It's not much of a clocker, but it was dirt cheap.
If I did it again I'd probably try and aim for one sold by an individual rather than a return or old stock from a company.
 
As a buyer you should be ok. Bought plenty of pc parts off there over the years and not had any trouble.

The other place I go to get the odd bit bought or sold is the bit-tech forums.

Ok don't know if Overclockers have changed there pricing on the 3770k's but I thought they where over £330 :confused: average price on EB is around £230-40,
So yes to be honest I would buy from here for piece of mind ;)
 
I got a fx6300 from the bay and 2 months later the memory controller went down on it so i had to rma it.

Couldnt return to seller as he stated no returns after 30 days.

Btw this was from a top rated seller.
