Say you were to buy a laptop from a country in Europe other than England, other than having to use a plug converter, what other changes would you have to make for it to behave like you bought it from the UK?

Is it possible within windows to change the language back to English?

Reason being, is that some prices quoted in Euros work out cheaper than buying it in good ol' blighty.

Thanks.

The language, possibly the region of the DVD player (easily done), and you'd also have to put up with a potentially different keyboard layout.

Hi

I'm after a new laptop but my research is finding it cheaper from the UK than Europe but living in France the companies either don't deliver to France or it's too expensive.

Anyway you could tell me where you've seen them cheaper or even what country you found to be cheaper?

Cheers

Ofcourse you have to pay the appropriate duties, VAT and what not :)

But ofcourse it'll be the same. But keyboard layout will be different, maybe. It can be changed though.
