Due to some of our clients having Mac books and us doing more and more for them we have decided to purchase one so we can familiarise ourselves with the OS.

What's the best and cheapest way to get hold of a Mac book? I had a look on eBay and Apples refurb bit and the prices for last years model second hand aren't a huge amount different from this years model brand new!!

If we were to buy a standard Mac Book with 512mb/1gb Ram, could we then just buy 2gb RAM to upgrade it ourselves?

Is there anything we should avoid or look out for as well?

Many Thanks.

Yeah you can upgrade it. The MM had many cheap Macbooks etc. You could get a Mac Mini as a cheaper Mac to run the OS? Just need a screen etc.

Mac laptops tend to hold value better than PC laptops. Apple refurb is probably the best way as you get full warranty with it.
