buying a macbook ...

sup guys

ok so i need a notebook with good battery life and power, for use in school in September. I'm drawn to the basic macbook , for ~£700 ... I was thinking if it wasn't sufficient somewhere in the future I could buy 4GB RAM and a new 7200RPM HD for it ...

Never used the OS before, but always liked the look of them .. it will be mostly for schoolwork etc. i'll see how i get on first before i upgrade the ram or hd though ... do they come with the os disc's if i was to upgrade the hard drive?

How much battery do you guys get from your macbooks?

Fair advice, with any luck if there was to be an update the current macbooks would have the prices slashed anyway In all honesty i was considering buying the last gen macbook, adding gb ram and a new hd, but i'll wait a few months
