I'm looking to purchase a prebuilt gaming computer online. My budget is about £1500. I dont need a mouse/keyboard or monitor.

I've been looking at the OC ones and they seem very nice for the money. But there isnt a great deal of choice.

I'm trying to stay away from Alienware/etc because i've heard they are a rip-off.

Could you guys suggest any other sites which sell prebuilt gaming computers?

Thanks.

if i was you i would stick with ocuk they may not have much choice but you know you will get a good product . or for the cash you have to spend you could build one just a thought

What do you want that OcUK aren't doing already?

The line up from OcUK is pretty good, it skips all the No swearing! you normally see when you try to buy a PC.

Pick your pricepoint and they pretty much have the pc you would want.

Something along this lines of the Ultima OC 8800GTX seems pretty good for you, and around your budget

What spammeh suggested would be perfect. I don't know much about OCuKs systems, but i imagine they are built well but may not be the most aesthetically pleasing on the inside compared to gaming PCs offered elsewhere as they typically have watercooling. But a lot of the aesthetics you are paying for could be done yourself.

Plus you know OCuK will offer good customer support :D

Thanks for the suggestions guys, ive decided to go with the one Spammeh posted.

I've also decided to buy a new monitor to go with it...any ideas? £400-500 budget

Not a big expert on monitors but I like the look of this one!

24" very similar to the Dell one, except 5ms response instead of the 6ms on the Dell 24".

Personally, I would skip 24" for gaming and go for a22" screen or even a 20" one, you get 2ms response times from both of those. I think more than 22" is too big for gaming, personal choice though.

Just wondering, kinda thinking of an OC system myself, anyone know if they can be flexible on the components, e.g. will they add a sound card or additional hard drive at time of build?

No they dont.

And that just made me think, why dont OCuK offer custom built pc's where you select what you want and they build and deliver it for you, suppose would take up a lot of time and work.

Surely a phonecall with lots of "What? Are you serious. Put your boss on!" and "You're honestly telling me your staff are not competent enough to install an xxxx graphics card instead of an xxxx?". I'd try it anyway :P

All that aside, the total cost of the components may be higher than buying a PC from Dell or the like, but I found looking at Dell you buy a hell of lot of stuff that you don't want and can't remove from the spec.
