Hey Folks

I am going shopping later on today and I need to buy a printer. I'm not treally upto speed with printers these days so was looking for some suggestions as what would be a good choice.

I am only looking for a printer not one of these all in one jobs as i dont have a use for the other bits. Will just be using it for printing word docs and maybe the odd picture.

I was thinking of spending up to £50 so your suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

Best thing to do is consider the cost of the replacement cartridges, as this were the manufacturers get the profit. Also consider the types of print - colour or text.

If its text consider a cheap laser.

I have got a Canon ip4300 which the older model of This Canon 4500. I find it really good and the cartridges are £10 each. Also rather than let something print when one of the cartridges have run out it stops and gives you the chance to change it first.

Well it would be mainly text prints. I see there is a cheap £50 Lexmark laser but my experience with Lexmark is really expensive re fills. Thinking about it, it would be nice to have a wireless printer.
