Buying advice on memory needed

Looking to build game computer. I need advise on the core components.

I am thinking of

Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Takes up to ddr2 800 memory.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.67GHz (1066FSB)


CellShock 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 PC2-8000C4 1000MHz Dual Channel Kit

The cellshock is out of stock so what is the best memory for this board ?

Maybe this ?
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8500C5 TwinX (2x1GB

Or
does the memory still default to slowest speed ? or is there a better choice available ?

Tried reading up on mobo but still not sure of the tech side of latest memory!

Also the latest BIOS is included with the ASUS or is update needed for core 2

Total : £325.72

The E6700 waste of money to be honest.
