specifically the US. What are your thoughts on this. Will it actually be cheaper after all the taxes, cutoms etc?

Most importantly, will the warranties still be intact?

Has anyone done this before?

Thanks

it depends,

You run the risk of being stung with taxes and customs on your way home.

As for warrantys some companys will honor them, others wont. Apple definitely will, my friend got his UK iPhone fixed when he was over in the states.

I was thinking EVGA. Actually, might get an iPhone if I go to the US:)
As for avoiding customs, could you take it out of all the packaging etc and keep them in two separate suitcases and get away with that? Is that even legal???
