I had weeks to decide to either build a Conroe Gaming Rig or get a MacBook. I've finally decided to get The MacBook (I'm new to OSX but a couple of hours mess about, I'm liking the whole feel, that tipped the decision)

I would love if people would comment on my list of To-Buys, in case you know of something better or incompatible with a Mac.

My budget is £1300;
From Apple, with Education discount (6%?) - might try and get the 15% discount thru uni account.

MacBook (white), 13.3-inch, 2GHz Intel Core Duo with apple installed 2x512MB RAM and 80GB HDD.

Tucano Second Skin Microfiber for MacBook 13,3" - Black

Apple wireless Mighty Mouse

From OCUK:
Western Digital MyBook Pro 250GB Firewire 400 / 800 / USB2.0USB2.0 External HDD - for my extended music collection.

Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers (White) - for listening to my music (had to decide this or the JBL Creatures or even the JBL Encounters)

total to £1240 inc VAT and delivery.

I know of the student promotion from apple but I've got a 2GB Memory stick duo coming in for my W800i, no need for an ipod/nano... plus, my budget cannot be stretched.

Any comments?

Edit: this system will be used for my university work, music listening, watching DVDs, photoshop, dreamweaver (for my club's site), light gaming and net surfing.

2.0GHz Macbook with 80GB HDD installed and a Mini DVI to VGA - £896.77
2x 1GB Corsair Value Select, DDR2 SO-DIMM PC5300 (667), 200 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5 - £120
Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse - £40
Tucano Second Skin Microfiber for MacBook 13,3" - Black - £20
Acoustic Energy Aego M 2.1 Speakers (White) &
Western Digital WDG1T2500 MyBook Pro 250GB Firewire 400 - £203.82

Any good? I've checked but would like a double check if the RAM will definitely work with a MacBook...

Thanks.
