Buying iPhone without signing contract at store?

Hey, is it still possible to buy a iPhone from a shop, on contract pricing (£160~ for 16GB) without signing anything?

I want to get one and get a simplicity contract, can I choose to have the free internet browsing bolt on on my simplicity contract aswell?

Of course not - if that was possible they wouldn't be selling the PayG version for like £400
