Hey guys,

A few of us here like leaf tea and want to know the best place to get some ordered. Looking for good quality tea from a reputable supplier for a reasonable price.

Taken this from a great post about the differing qualities by Squark, looking for some of the upper quality tier teas:

• Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (FTGFOP) Extremely high quality
• Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (TGFOP) Similar to GFOP, but with an even higher proportion of golden tips.
• Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (GFOP) A higher quality tea, that includes the golden tips of the young buds leaves.
• Flowery Orange Pekoe (FOP) Similar to OP, but used for teas from the rest of India or other regions.
• Orange Pekoe (OP) A good quality tea, consisting of large leaf pieces. Used for teas from Sri Lanka or south India.
• Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP) Tea with many small or broken pieces of leaves.
• Fannings / Dust The tiny bits and pieces, usually leftovers from processing. Commonly found in tea bags.

Cheers.

I tend to use Waterloo Tea at the moment.
China Breakfast and Meghalaya Autumn LaKyrsiew (which is stunning)

Postcard Tea is also very good, but I can't remember what I had from there. Really should pay them another visit.

Probably stating the obvious to you guys... but... just in case someone hasn't realised...

Water quality makes a MASSIVE difference to the taste.

For the last year or two... I use either Evian or Tesco Ashbeck bottled water to make tea/coffee.

Tap water's much better up north though...

I picked up some fantastic Mango green tea from Camden market last year - wish I had kept the packet as I'd like to find that again (while being lazy, haha).

What you did there.

I see it.

I recently bought some loose leaf from nothing but tea (http://www.nbtea.co.uk/). We got a big 100g pack of earl grey and one of their assams and then a few taster packs of some greens and other blacks. They have sooo many that I couldn't buy a larger pack without tasting it first.

We love their tea, I got a little robot tea ball as well, he's awesome :)
