Had a delivery from Turner & George yesterday, 2kg of fillet tails, 1kg of Chateaubriand and 2kg of split marrow shafts. Not sure what i'm going to do with all the fillet, but it was all such a good price i couldn't turn it down.

I do so love a big box of meat.

That's fair enough, however i'd expect an immediate order or at least Sagepay payment confirmation by email, regardless of whether or not it's out of hours.

For real internet companies I'd agree. I tend to make an exception for places that generally are a bit behind the times digitally - butchers, (local) bike shops, etc.

I've been pretty impressed with the quality so far. The bavette in particular was excellent - looking forward to cooking it again.

You will LOVE the burgers, nom nom nom!

I cooked a pork tenderloin from Westin Gourmet yesterday, marinaded overnight in a tandoori spice mix, then cooked at 70ºC for 6 hours, before 5 minutes under a red-hot grill for some browning.

IT WAS AMAZING!!!

Trying to figure out the best way to use my confit duck from Donald Russell, thinking Cassoulet, any other suggestions that people may have that aren't ridiculously complicated? :D

Hi Guys n Gals

Not used Westin Gourmet before. For those that have used them recently, what is the quality like ?

I have seen this pack on HDUK

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/10-...ay-matured-fillet-steaks-43-delivered-2374297

quality is nothing special, probably supermarket standard, maybe marginally better

BUT

play the offers/codes/discounts well and the deals can be great

here is my last order

Cheers Rotty for the feedback. I have been using the local Costco and the meat quality in my mind is easily better than Supermarket.

May give them a go
