Buying new case - Hard to move everything from old case into new?

Ok so i am getting a new case for my custom built pc, so i just would like to know if it's a simple process moving everything from the old into the new case? I didn't put the PC together, as i am a total newbie to this sort of thing. Any guides or anything on how to do?
