Hi guys, going to buy two sticks of RAM in the next few days, currently have 2GB of high performance RAM, going to buy 2 Crucial 2GB sticks. I THOUGHT I had 4 slots on my mobo for 4 sticks of RAM, so that I could keep my current 2GB sticks and therefore have 6GB, but now I think I'm mistaken...

Can anyone tell me what the 2 smaller slots are next to the RAM slots..you can see them here..

CHEERS! :)

Ha.. oh... I tried plugging a RAM stick from the slot with the bigger clip to the smaller clip but it wasn't wanting to lock in, will it definitely go? In fairness I was trying to reach behind a beefy cooler to do it.

If they will click in, is it a problem using 2 different types of RAM simultaneously?

it should do,im not sure on that board but ive never seen a board with two different types of ram sockets

its not advised to mix ram but you might be ok aslong as you match the voltages/timings/speed ect

All 4 slots are DDR2. Maybe they just couldn't get matching sockets in the 2 colours. IDK lol
Max 1200MHz, but that still depends on the CPU
Match the voltages, when you install they should run happily at the timings of the slower RAM.
