Right,

I'm at the stage where I'm ready to start a retro collection, however, I'm struggling to find the stuff I want. Are there any UK specialist places that people could recommend, because eBay is pretty pants these days tbh.

I'm looking to get a US SNES and a Sega Dreamcast (not sure which version of the DC I should get, advice? :))

I'd look on ebay to be honest mate. I don't know of any UK specialist places I'm sure any shops that deal with Retro games would be quite expensive.

You should probably check out a few charity shops loads of people get good deals in there. Check out the Retro gaming thread.

Ebay and second hand shops last week saw a boxed dreamcast in cash convertors for a tenner in the warmer months get round the car boots. But as joe said specialist shops are expensive they know how much things are worth or they wouldn't make any money.

Check out local ads also, i.e : Friday-Ad.

I re-started a retro collection earlier this year and over the course of about 2 months I got loads of stuff quite cheap.

Aye I suppose prices will be inflated due to people buying them as Christmas presents. :(

If I get a Dreamcast, should I get the VGA box? I'm trying to do a bit of research on it and can't see if I should buy a US/Japanese region one or not. :/ I'm after a US SNES because that was obviously the best one (even if it was flippin' ugly).
