Hi im picking up a Motherboard with a Cpu and some memory

I have asked the guy if i can see it working and he has said he has pulled it from his system but he will connect it up and show me it boot to Bios

Would that be ok or is there more checks i can do?

You could take mem test on on bootable memory stick and this will check the memory and show amount installed.

Check through the BIOS for temps ect and see if you can check the socket if its a Intel cpu for bent pins.

Thanks

remove the heatsink and fan (assuming one is installed) and then remove the chip. There will be a lever to lift which will free the cpu to be lifted out. Check all pins are straight :)
