Hello everyone! Pleased to meet you all, I'm Luke.

Ordered this beauty yesterday:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-213-OE&groupid=43&catid=2040&subcat=1892

Graphics card is going to be a 560Ti 2GB.

Buying it with 8GB of RAM. Not being too computer friendly would it be possible to throw the 8GB in with the 4GB or wouldn't that be possible?

Secondly, I know pre-building one might have been cheaper but I have no knowledge and would have really liked to get straight into it. :) Somebody will be upgrading the RAM for me before any of you ask... :P

But yeah, I really can't wait. My current PC is nowhere near a proper gaming machine, it has 2Ghz processor, 9600GT and 4GB Ram, all custom built but ageing silly now.

Before I leave you, I'm buying this game mainly for MMO's, I am a big MMO fan and wandering would this be able to handle Star Wars: The Old Republic on max settings? I must be honest I primarily bought this machine for MMO's and Star Wars but I will definitely be shaking some dust off my STEAM account and buying some more games in due course on there!

Thanks all, fantastic community on here and Overclockers is a website I will definitely be buying off again.

EDIT: I also have a basic computer monitor. Would you recommend I go out and buy a bigger monitor also to enhance the experience... ?

What resolution is your monitor at the moment?

8GB is more than enough for your needs.

That machine will easily eat up games like SWTOR and handle games like BF3 well also.

This is a strange one... I actually came to post and ask for advice again. Turns out I made an account on here 9 years ago when I bought the above PC!

So, that desktop (link long expired) has been an absolute dream for what I've used it for over the years. However, I think the graphics card is starting to pack up as when I start asking anything demanding of it ie watching videos it would switch itself off. Once lockdown is over I will take it to my cousin to give it a proper diagnostic.

Pressing back to the original matter, I'm after some more buying advice. I'm still not confident in building my own desktop and was wondering if anyone can advise me on a new one to buy? I don't play many 'demanding' games. At the moment I'm playing World of Warcraft and Witcher lll. I will also be on it all day every day due to WFH! Just after something that can handle those games with ease and is just as futureproof as my old rig.

Can post a new thread if it's easier.
