Ok! Reasons for buying the i7 over the i5? Are you doing much more than gaming?

Are you planning on SLI in the future?

Why 16GB of RAM? (this relates to the first question too)

I'm assuming you are planning on a fairly large OC?

I will be doing using rendering videos with Sony Vegas, not sure exactly how much difference the i7 would make over the i5 tbh but it will be mainly for gaming.

I'm not planning to SLI immediately in the future but would like to keep that option open.

16GB of purely because its relatively cheap and I want this PC to last me a long time :)

I will be overclocking yes, as much as I can handle.

Cheers :)

It's looks like you've done your homework. Those i7 threads may come in handy. I have a 3 week old UD5H. It's a peach.

In that case! I'll be honest and say that it all looks grand to me!

There are others here that will more than likely poke and prod at your spec but I think it's all there personally :)

Lastly! You got Windows, onboard sound enough? Speakers? right?

Enjoy!

I did actually buy this a couple of weeks ago also.

1 x Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 PCI-Express Sound Card with built in Headphone Amp £26.99

I do have my own 'Special' copy of Windows yeh, thanks for asking tho. Speakers tho, hmmm.

The reason why I hmmm, is that I use the Roccat Kave 5.1 headset, which uses most of the sockets in my soundcard. I guess I could use my front panel audo for speakers or is there another way around that.

I haven't used speakers for flipping ages as my front audio jacks broke on my current case about 5 years ago.

do you particularly favour the 600tm over the Corsair Obsidian 650D ?

would you consider the Alpenföhn K2 Mount Doom over the corsair h100 ?

could also consider 2 lots of the Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (4gb x 2)DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel.

if your considering sli'ing the card then maybe think about the XFX 850W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Silver' Power Supply.
