Buying two new monitors

Hi guys,

Just got a new desk and to finish off the room update I'm looking to buy 2 new monitors to replace my HP 2311x (1080p) and 2 old dell 1280x1024 monitors...

I was looking at the Asus VN247H, good price, nice thin bezels and good response time. Plus it has VESA mount holes on it which I need as I'm looking to moutd them on two monitor arms that clip onto the desk.

Are there any other monitors that I've overlooked? Or should I just hold out for 4k, even though it might mean an upgrade in GPU also (I have an R9 280x).

Thanks a bunch.

Is it a good quality panel? Colour shift, light bleeding at all?

I can't fault these at all the colors are good and I don't see any light bleed at all, they are nice and smooth for gaming too. For the price they are a very very good display I have had these a while and I am very happy with them.

At least what you have all sit well together .... The 3 I had before these were all different sizes and heights ......

Ah nice, they sound like a good bang for the buck!

Haha I was lucky with that... I only had one of the side monitors for a long while which looked a little odd, but then I came into about 6 of them... Still trying to get rid of the blighters a couple months on, plus 3 old poweredge servers I got at the same time :/

Yeah a little bit :P I am trying to get rid of it though! Just don't know where  most of the stuff I have is inherited one way or another lol... Just my monitor and my rig are new buys, the desk is from my mums work, and every now and then (because my dad is in commercial property) he gets a Tennant that goes bust and the landlord needs the building cleared, so we go in and sweet the place like vultures for good stuff ;) I did get myself a gem though, a Sun Fire server with 24GB of ram and dual quad core hyperthreaded xeons :D
