I keep changing my mind from buying a 8800gtx to a 9800gx2 ( saw the evga review on youtube) and now wondering if I should buy 2 8800gts?

I wanna play crysis on very high on my 55" 1080p tv to be honest, with good fps.

Rest of my system is 2.6ghz yorkfield (wanna overclock it) 8gb of ram, couple tb of hdd. vista 64 ultimate. Wanna watercool the mobo, cpu and vga. Havent choosen a mobo or case yet and gonna get a zalman 850w psu.

What should I do?

9800GX2 is a little underclocked than the GTS cards on their own.

Prolly down to a heat issue with the two cards being so close to together but other than that they are both the same or should I say all three or all four are basically the same. :D

Anyone thought of watercooling the 9800gx2?

One of these you need...

Innovatek specially for EVGA.

2 8800GTS-ses. if you want the 9800GX2, i'd wait a bit so the price premiums don't come into play... that money you'd spend can easily be used somewhere else

2 8800GT's or GTS's would suit.

AND if you play a game that has issues with sli, then you could just use one card temporarily to play it.

Heard sli has problems with dual screens or that when you have a dual screen it can only use 1 card per screen.... :( leaning towards the 8800gtx

Unfortunately neither a 9800GX2, nor GTS-SLI is enough to give genuinely 'good fps' in 1920x1080 very high settings. If you have your heart set on such insane settings, then 2x 9800GX2 in quad-SLI is the bare minimum I would consider.

Obviously if you adopt a more realistic approach (high settings with average fps) then GTS-SLI isn't too bad an option - both faster and cheaper than the GX2.

Damn.
This guy can play crysis with his 9800 gx2 very high and has got good fps 42 I think. 1920 x 1200.

If 2 8800gts didnt have the dual screen problem, Id get that.

Hmmm, guess Ill stick with the 8800gtx and get decent play from that.
