Does anyone my age (early 30s) remember listening to current affairs some 20-odd years ago? Terminology has changed, but I think they they still have the same meanings:
In 1991 "kidnappers", in recent years "paedophiles"
In 1991 "joyriders", in recent years "chavs"
In 1991 "CFCs", in recent years "carbon footprint"
In 1991 "IT", in recent years "ICT"
And one for the Daily Mail readers...!
In 1991 "black board", in recent years "chalk board"
What do you guys think? I'm guessing a mix of political correctness and what is currently accepted by society. IT will always be IT to me though.
