hi

i have a Panasonic plasma TC-P55XT50, (55'')last week it developed a buzzing noise, it's coming from the back of the tv; top left hand side and it varies in volume, it's worst with a pure white screen and silent with a dark screen, with a normal tv image it's about half volume, it reminds me of Capacitor coil whine.

is this problem easy to fix and does anyone know who can fix it.
thanks.

Had the same in my 50" pany plasma. Had to call the place where I bought from and they sent some guys to pick it up and repaired it under warranty.

I've encountered similar issues when the magnetic cores of an inductors cracked. Replacing the inductor or just gluing it back together worked.

I never got the tv insured so it might cost a lot of money, but on this forum right now the buzzing is fairly quiet...

it's only really noisy from the side or the back and especially if the screen is pure white

Put a white screen on it and then apply pressure around the area that makes the buzzing noise. My old PX80 did (still does) it, and I slipped a thin piece of card between the back panel and the bezel and it fixed the vibration/buzzing.

fixed it, i took the back off and tightened the screws on the top right circuit board.

it's now about half the noise as it was, because it was always buzzy anyway.

the back was hard to get off but i was surprised to see so little dust inside
