Buzzing noise from motherboard

Hi Guys,

I'm running a Asus M4A88T-M Motherboard and have noticed a rather annoying buzzing noise that appears to be coming from the rear usb ports. I have a wireless usb adapter that when plugged in the noise stops, as soon as I remove the adapter the noise starts again. I have upgraded the wireless adapter to a pci-e adapter which was the point I noticed this annoying (and loud) noise.

I have updated the bios which has made no difference.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Yes, just tried that, all seems ok on that front. The strange thing is, the only usb adapter that stops it is the usb wireless network adapter, any other usb device has no effect.

What is the wireless network adapter doing that no other usb device can do?

The only work around I've got is to leave the usb network adapter plugged in but. I have to leave it enabled tho, I've tried disabling it and the buzzing starts straight away until I re-enable it.

And I was going to say it was a loose bit of plastic resonating. Odd...
