These are the specs for my PC that I built at the end of October

Ryzen 7 Eight Core 2700X 4.35GHz (Socket AM4) Processor
Samsung SSD 850 Evo 1TB
Toshiba 2TB P300 7200RPM Performance Hard Drive (HDWD120UZSVA)
MSI Optix G24C 24" 1920x1080 VA FREESYNC 144Hz 1ms Curved Widescreen Gaming Monitor
OcUK Value Blu-ray / DVDRW combi SATA
Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Glass Midi Tower Case
Super Flower 850W Power Supply
Alpenfohn Ben Nevis Advanced CPU Cooler - 130mm
Gigabyte Aorus RGB 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit
Gigabyte Radeon RX VEGA 64 WindForce OC 8GB HBM2 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Gigabyte Aorus GA-AX370-Gaming K7 AMD X370 (Socket AM4) DDR4 ATX Motherboard

I've had problems with my PC since I built it, I keep getting an intermittant blank screen that lasts for several seconds then my display comes back. It only happens in games.

Been talking to OCUK support and they suggested it could be a problem with my PSU, so I replaced my original Bitfenix 750W with the Super Flower 850W. However the problem is still happening.

Then tonight I noticed this noise when I fired up a game.

I can't say I've noticed this before, because I game with headphones on.
I've stopped all my fans with my finger, so I don't think the buzzings coming from those.
I hooked up my original PSU and I still get the same noises in games.

Sounds like coil whine, if the GPU is using a lot of power then its voltage regulation circuitry is switching a lot of current on and off rapidly.

Is it mostly happening under load? High framerate scenarios and menu screens often do it.

Third vote for coil whine.

Blank screen with image returning few seconds later could be some kind crash/error of GPU/its drivers.
(automatic recovery/restart of driver)
Event Viewer should show some error about that.

You could change graphics card to Power Save profile to see, if that changes that noise or image "black outs".

Thanks for the replies.

I've never really Event Viewer, the problem happened twice yesterday, but I can't remember the times.
What section should I be looking under?

I was thinking of doing a GPU swap with my brother since he has my old PC, just to see if he gets the problem, or whether the problem persists on my PC.
Need to look into how to do clean uninstall of the drivers though, since it's a 970.

You can go to check specific details like time stamps of errors from Event Viewer's main view by double clicking Event ID

Still not quite sure what I'm looking for.

Swapped round my graphics cards, now no buzzing noise from my PC.
Strangely though, no buzzing from my brothers PC. The most demanding game he owns is Football Manger, so I tried Furmark, but still nothing.
