Ok after a bit of overclocking and upped my NB vcore to 1.4v i can hear odd whistling/buzzing noise coming from inside my case during the blend test.

Is this normal or should i be worried?

Was speaking to someone that there may be a tiny tiny speaker built in on the mobo and its perhaps warning me that the NB or something isn't getting enough voltage. Or something just isn't coping. Any truth to this or has the guy got it completely wrong?

My NB voltage was 1.4v and the next setting is 1.55v...which sounds quite a jump...should i follow the guys advice, reduce my overclock, or buy a new motherboard?

I would suspect that he's wrong, as Cob says it's probably a capacitor squealing and they certainly can squeal when under load.

Could be the PSU, making odd noises under certain loads...

My old PSU was on its way out, and squealed while the cpu was under load.
