Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone on here could shed some light on my situation. Here it is

My setup was PS3 into a Sony STR DG520 using optical for the audio, and HDMI from PS3 to tv. My speakers are Yamaha NSP110 centre and fronts and the sub that came with them and i replaced the rear ones for Tannoy F1s.

Now yesterday i got a new blu ray player Panasonic DMP-BD35. I moved my PS3 to my bedroom on Monday, so didn't use my amp till yesterday, to test the new blu ray. I hooked it up turned on the amp and now everytime there is audio on a disc there is a buzz coming from all 4 speakers, even if i turn the volume to zero.

I have disconected all the speakers put them back making sure they are in nice and tight.

I have tested it with my PS3 as that was the last thing i used Monday morning and it was fine then. Still buzzing.

The buzzing stops when the optical is unplugged, i didnt have a spare lead to test with so i left it as it was and was going to pick one up today. But this morning i tested my dvd player using coaxial, and still it was buzzing. So it couldn't be that right?

After that i moved the amp and speakers away from my equipment and set it up again just incase the buzz was some interference, but it was still buzzing.

Now im stuck and don't have a clue what it could be and i don't really have the money to get a new one yet.

So if anyone out there knows what it could be and how to fix it, it would be much appreciated.

I really don't see how buzzing could come from an optical cable, as there is no electronic connection, only optical.

Have you tried plugging your DVD player with another amp?

The buzzing happens using both optical and coaxial.
I don't have another amp to test on. But both my dvd and blue ray player where working Monday before i moved them upstairs to make way for blu ray player. And now when they are hooked up buzzing happens.
