its very hard to explain what type/sort of vibration, bit like iphone 4 vibrate lol

extremely uncomfortable to my right feet, i have to back off to 65mph to stop the buzzing!!!

My first thought as daft as it sounds, was a Puma the same sort of age as your old Focus we had in. Turned out it was the throttle cable routed wrong and resonating off something...think your new one would be a fly by wire throttle though?.
:)

so you're saying the throttle cable is touching something that cause the buzz vibration all the way down to the pedal?

what is fly by wire throttle? how is it different from old focus?

Fly (Drive) by wire is electronic - a pot measures how far your foot is down and sends the signal to throttle via ECU.
Cable is mechanical - The throttle is opened by a cable which is connected to the pedal.

Can't really help with your problem though. SOrry.

'fly by wire' is when there is no direct mechanical linkage, electronic lines and signals take the place of them.

hi guys

thanks for the replies.

went to ford yesterday lunchtime, explained the problem to the sale man who sold the car to me, he took me to the service area and explained to the mechanic, he and the saleman went out in my car while i waited in showroom. they came back 10 mins later they said its because of new tyres fitted which need to be bedded about 500 miles and things will improve. if not, take it back again.

i have to say i'm a little disappointed. didnt expected they'd say like that lol

i owned my old focus for about 8 years, went thro 4 or 5 different set of tyres, never had like this before lol

so been driving around bit more since. only getting the buzzing vibration at pedals at between 3.6k to 3.8k rpm, happens on 3th, 4th and 5th gear so its not just at 75mph ish.

i read somewhere on net last night, someone has same problem on same car, turned out it was debris in rolling restrictor (engine mount???) but i cant find the website grrrrrrrrr. is it possible?

If you accept that many car dealers will say anything to evade their responsibilities then you won't be disappointed. This kind of excuse is a classic way of pushing the problem out until the warranty runs out, especially when they are clueless as to the cause and lack the ability and/or inclination to diagnose it.

Sorry to resurrect a really old thread... I have been experiencing the same buzzing feeling through the accelerator pedal on my focus 1.6 (2008) in the same rev range. Wesley, did you manage to resolve the problem in your car? Was it the roll resstrictor? It's really annoying isn't it! Your help would be gratefully received.
