Went to see the last British gig of rock band DEMON last night :( http://the-demon.com/

They started in 1980 and have made at least 15 albums which have been well received over there in the other Europe.
They are all Stoke lads and I've been on stage with 4 of them in the past but alas the gigs aren't paying their way any more.
3 of the band told me that they are lucky if they break even when they go on tour.
Its a damn shame because at one time they were nearly at the top of *** NWOBHM table and they've done well to stay alive for 27 years.
They're off to Norway soon and then a couple of gigs in Germany and thats it.

If you get chance check out some of their stuff because there was some really good songwriting going on at times.

They were pretty well known when they were at their peak. Perhaps a bit before your time for some of you.

I remember them well, they hail from Leek or around that area I believe. Sad to see them calling it a day.

Click on this because for years this is the type of gigs they've been doing in Europe - http://the-demon.com/bildarkiv/demon/demon_byh2005_dont_break_the_circle.mpg

At one time they were also signed to Atlantic Records.
The lead guitarist started playing guitar because of me.
He used to come to my recording studio around 81 and watch me record bands and decided to learn guitar.
He now teaches guitar for a living because DEMON lose money.
