Bye Bye Gti

Hope it was over-insured mate.

There's a lot to be said for a secondary, hidden switch, isolator. That's what a mate of mine did after he lost a beamer the same way. The idea don't help much now, I know, but worth bearing in mind.

Coincidentally, another mate had his caravan nicked from his drive overnight the very same week and they slashed his and his neighbour's tyres just so no-one could chase them if they woke up. There really are some scum bags about.

**** the car I'm just glad they didn't come & mess with you or the Missus or kids if you have any.

FortyFive's right.. least you're both safe. If I ever caught one of these theives.. There'd be no mercy.

Because someone breaking into your house then waking you up in the middle of the night will really be scared of someone who is dozy and not quite understanding what is going on....

As gutting as it may be to have your car stolen, just try to remember that it's a mass produced car that can be replaced very easily.

The main thing is that you/your family were not injured/threatened which may have left you with psycological or even physical trauma which would have been far, far worse.

Police been round yet? What area was it stolen from?

I'm a doctor.. I've spent the last 2 years on call. But regardless, when you're health/home is threatened the last feeling you have is one of fatigue. Nevertheless, approaching a theif isn't the best of ideas - I'm sure they don't have much to lose.

Well at least your/your family are ok.

This is what insurance is for after all. Doesnt take away from the fact that having your car stolen is a right old pain in the backside though!
