The only thing that you heare poeple are selling there ps3 for is because the lack of games. Surely thats your fault for not looking into the game catologue and not seeing when they come out. You here it quite a lot on here

Doesn't take into account the inevitable slippages.

It's a good decision if you are happy about doing it.
I'm in the fortunate position of having both, but if I had to have only 1 it would definitely be the Xbox360 for numerous reasons, and although the PS3 has some cracking features that the Xbox360 doesn't by default such as Wireless and BluRay I got the Xbox360 for one reason.

To play games.

If that's the primary reason for owning any of the 3 consoles, then the Xbox360 wins every time.

Well mate it is up too you, though doesn't your GF own a 360? just blag hers lol But i also think you will lose a lot of money.
If you wanna play GH2, just get the PS2 version and the adaptor lol It is the same game, only a couple of tracks difference. Also that way you could get GH1 for buttons and not get bent over for 3 tracks at a time on the MP (Still bitter lol) That only leaves C&C3, get it on yer PC, problem solved lol

The 360 does have more games, but i had to struggle a bit to think of a top 5 for the post on here. There just want anything i was wanting to stick in it lol
Though Forza is coming in 2 weeks WOOHOO

Iv tried to blag hers mate to no joy, anyway i got another 360 they gave me £600 credit for my ps3 plus games :)

Got GH2, Crackdown, Gears, C&C3, and a points card, and a 2 year extended warranty, still got £150 credit note to spend all in all im happy :)

Personally I could never consider trading my PS3 back to a 360, especially with the 360 failure's still cropping up frequently :(

Although the games are still lacking, I have found that it is actually working in my favour at the moment as I'm actually playing through games, instead of moving on to a newer one. Take for instance Oblivion which I had twice on the 360 and got as far as leaving the first sewer :-/ Now I have it on the PS3 and not much else I've actually played it more and am really enjoying it :) Currently I'm level 12 and can't see me moving on to another game for a good while.

Also there are 3 games out at the end of June (hopefully) that interest me, hotshot golf, Ninja Gaiden & Darkness. Even if I only get 2 of those I can see them lasting me for a good month or two which takes me through to September which hopefully is when we'll see the likes of Lair, Warhawk & Rachet & Clank :)

In addition to the above I haven't spent loads on games over the last 2 months, which keeps the better hapf happy :)

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed my 360, and some of the games were great, but unfortunately for me the hardware let it down to the point that I couldn't & wouldn't hold on to the console knowing in 2 years or possibley less I would have to fork out for a new console :(

Least it worked out well for you, you got some good games and cash left :) good idea for the warranty... hope you have better luck with it this time round.

Yep first time I had it I got as far as the emporer dying, second time I got out of the sewer, killed a crab, got killed by a wolf and gave up :(

It was too easy both times to turn the game off and move on to something else..

Now I don't have that option I have kept playing, and am really enjoying it :)

Also the PS3 version does look better especially outside, which I feel adds to the atmosphere :)

Says more about your attention span than the consoles though really :p

Yep I'm not very patient when it comes to games :)

That's why I like the fact that I don't have the option put a different game on, I have no choice but to be patient :D

Hardly any of the folks on my PS3 friends list seem to use their PS3s much anyway. There are three or so who regularly are on but never seem to play any games! (Or at least the PS3 is not showing anything under their name.)

How many games did you have with it? £600 is a lot..!

Cheers mate, Really enjoying GH2 atm been on that most of the afternoon :)

Good to hear

Bud I did the same thing I only had 2 games with my PS3 but I just missed playing games on my 360 too much. I do believe I will own a PS3 again but by the time I do its going to be around the £300 and I got nearly £400 trade in with the games, HDMI cable and a couple of blueray films.

I think a console is about playing games not being a media centre and for me the 360 just gives me the titles I wanted to play, by this time next year im sure the PS3 will have games I want to play and then its going to be worth getting one but why have a £400 console just to do folding@home and play the odd PS2 title??

good deal you got there, I am getting another 360 myself but I wouldn't trade my ps3 to get it, i'm patient I can wait another month or 2 for games to start flowing onto ps3 regularly. Also I am going to wait for the elite model to appear, went from component on 360 to hdmi on ps3, and hdmi is miles better so a hdmi enabled 360 is worth the wait.

Not sure about HDMI being 'miles better' really.

I use VGA for the 360 and HDMI for the PS3. Not really any discernable difference in pq.

In terms of colour reproduction and contrast hdmi wins hands down in my opinion and vga looks to sterile and lacks warmth to me, must be something better about as it is the av fanatic connection of choice. And vga is a legacy connection, anyone with a dvi monitor for pc will attest to a digital signal and connection producing a cleaner image with better colour reproduction

^^^^ What he said! HDMI for the win! (and DVI on the PC)

Not that I'm saying VGA is bad, as it isn't, 2nd best I'd say.
Did some tests here when I got my Bravia. Connected PC to it via VGA, then via DVI-HDMI cable. DVI wins. Connected PS3 via VGA, then HDMI.
HDMI just looks better. As Needles said, maybe warmer... bit sharper, just "more" somehow.

and with new options to play with on the PS3 now, such as RGB Full Range and Super-White modes, that are only availble via HDMI, I look forward to seeing what difference they make.
